Big House Beans Brentwood

Big House Beans is an award-winning specialty coffee roaster established in 2014, with a popular café in Brentwood, CA. When the owners decided to expand to a second location in the vacant tenant space at FOG’s recently opened Brentwood Library, we were the natural choice to help shepherd the design, permitting and construction administration of the project.
A takeout-only setup provides craft coffees, waffles, avocado toast and other delectables in a fantastic location fronting the Library’s attached Community Center, and across the street from City Hall and a popular playground. The tenant space had not originally been intended for such an expansive menu so the internal planning was challenging, but the final design allows for full cafe operations and adjacency to the Community Center’s restrooms and public vestibule.
