East Bay Regional Park District

Headquartered in Oakland, California

As part of an on-call contract, FOG Studio provides ongoing design and project coordination services for the East Bay Regional Park District, an organization operating the largest urban regional park district in the United States. We are fortunate to help shepherd projects in some of the most beautiful and varied outdoor public resources in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

Project types run the gamut, from caretaker residences and yurt installations, to visitor amenities, to restrooms and emergency vehicle turnarounds. Coordination of engineering and the development of use diagrams assist the District in realizing capital projects expeditiously.

Beautiful Tilden Park has received new restrooms, ADA upgrades and drinking fountains, in both heavy-use lots and walk-in campsites, as has Anthony Chabot Park and Coyote Hills Park. A project headed by Foth will bring three new restroom facilities along with major dock and fishing access upgrades. Garin and Black Diamond Mines parks are next up on the roster. Replacement staff housing for Camp Arroyo and Vasco Caves parks will replace modular trailers.
