Over the past summer, FOG helped San Francisco Village transform a tired office space in the Richmond District into a new home entirely its own. We are so proud to support the mission of SF Village: “To help San Franciscans navigate the transitions of aging; we partner with our members to connect them with the community, programming and expertise they need to live lives of purpose and meaning.”
A former real estate office just across the street from the DeYoung Museum, this 2,500 square foot space now comprises administrative offices, a dedicated conference room, a kitchen / café hangout space, and flexible Member Programs area that can suit everything from dances to craft programs. Carpet tile by Shaw Contract transforms subtly from silvery grays in the public areas to bronzes in the smaller rooms, while walls and doors achieve punch by rich blue and orange Dunn Edwards paint. Walnut handrails and casework add warmth, complemented by a walnut-veneer wallcovering by MDC.
The project funding was supported by our friends at the Northern California Community Loan Fund, and realized by our fantastic colleagues CoBuild Construction Services.
